Sewing from vintage 60s patterns

Hi everyone! I was pointed to this group because I recently bought some vintage 60s fabric, and I'd really love to maybe make a dress and a purse out of the stuff I have...but I need inspiration! I already checked the local thrift stores for patterns, but didn't find anything very fitting, so maybe some vintage sites would be helpful? Any help would be great! Thanks! =)

ebay is always a good place to look for cheap vintage patterns. Make sure to check your measurements on the table of another old envelope from your country as the size labels have changed quite a lot since then in some countries.

Most of the 1960s dress patterns I've found seem to be for very straight figures - they just sort of hang with no discernible waist - so what I've taken to doing is to make myself a belt from a contrasting fabric and add that round the waist to give it some definition. I love 1960s patterns, I just think the lack of waist looks terrible on an hourglass figure, but this makes it much better.
